Traditionally the bride wore white high heeled shoes. They come in all different shapes and designs. However, these can be a little too high on the heel for the entire day. The latest trend shows a shift in the color and the height of the heel.

Brides need not wear only white and therein come the other versions that are close to it in the form of ivory, silver or even golden. These shades in shoes really look gorgeous and match the occasion perfectly.

The next thing about heels, they need to be over 3 inches in order to give that coveted look. If you can’t manage that for the whole day then you can try out the ones in flats. These peep toe boots are the hottest buy this time of the year. It is a vintage style in boot but has caught on the fancy of fashionasta real big time. They first made their appearance way back in the 1950s and have never waned in popularity since then.

The new designs and variants that are constantly added using different styles and colors to this basic of themes makes this a must have style in any wardrobe for certain. There are several designers who have hoped on to this shoe fiesta bandwagon and got out a whole new collection of peep-toe shoes right from Dolce and Gahanna to Christian Louboutin. The combination of high heels and peep-toes in a multitude of different colors can never ever go wrong.

You will be able to get the peep-toe boots in a variety of styles, different designer visions and concepts put together to give you a trendy pair that is bound to make waves when you step out wearing them. Peep-toes are extremely versatile as you can wear them at any time and pair them up with anything be it a skirt, dress, shorts, or even jeans and they will continue to remain and look trendsetting.

In these posts we are exploring the wonderful world of vintage shoes and I have to tell you that these – these horrid things are some of the vintage shoes that no one would ever want to bring back!  Look at ‘em … closely … closer … Now tell me you do not agree with me that these are some of the most god-awful shoes in the entire world.  They look like Minnie Mouse threw up her polka dots all over them!

Do not even get me started on that bow – the over-sized bow at least hides the shoes form a little bit – but honestly, I would be okay with the polka dots on the heels if that terrible bow was gone.  But, these are some of the most typical vintage shoes out there and honestly, they are extremely rare.

Also, these shoes were handmade, are wooden and were made for the dancing floor – watch out Dancing with the Stars celebrities, these shoes are going to be your next pair!  Won’t they look great with half of the outfits that the women wear on that show?  Well, I think so!

In this part, we will explore some extremely rare and all around brilliant looking vintage shoes!  Usually in this blog we explore all sorts of fashion-forward, great looking and 2008/09 shoes, right now let’s go back to a better time and a time when shoes really meant something to a lot of women.  Take the shoe in the above picture – someone handmade that beauty and honestly, it takes a lot of work to handmade something this perfect.  Not that I go around making shoes or anything, but check out that detail!

Unlike the boot in the post before this one, this shoe is defined by its short and stoutness.  The heel is exactly the same and this shoe was probably one of the first ‘booties’ out there.  Personally, I love vintage and old things – I am sort of a neo-hippie and while I am obsessed with new fashion, there is something to be said about an olden day shoe.

Now that we have touched on something new, we might as well switch over to something older!   Vintage to be exact and you should take a gander at these beauties?  They are all around great looking, extremely vintages and of course can be found nowhere but online, but that’s beside the point!

These shoes are definitely one of those type of shoes that you can wear with pretty much anything, but they are very much a highlight when you wear them on Halloween – no, for real!  They seem to remind me of the Wizard of Oz and the Wicked Witch of the East!  Seriously, don’t they remind you of the same thing?

The pointed toe, the drastically embellished buttons, the highness of them, the short and stout heel?  It all brings me back to a better time, when things were simpler and shoes were made with care – most of the time they were handmade.  So why not live a little bit in the past and pick yourself up some of these fantastic and olden days shoes – you will be the hit of any Halloween party and I promise (you can leave me comments if you do not!) that you will get compliments on your taste in shoes!
