When it comes to classic and extremely timeless shoes, Mary Janes are some of the best and all around most fashionable and timeless shoes in the world. There are so many different things that you can put a pair of Mary Janes with. Jeans and a tee shirt all the way up to work attire go great with any style of Mary Janes – and let me tell you, there are a whole lot of styles!
While these are not the most stylish shoes that I have blogged about, they are by far some of the most interesting shoes. Now, these shoes were designed for women (who would’ve guessed!) and are completely waterproof, breathable and have fabulous traction and a great rubber sole. Enough about all the fancy features that this shoe has, the reason I am blogging about it is far more interesting. I have come to a realization that all I have blogged about are shoes that business women wear and some other ‘classic’ shoes – I have not once mentioned anything about shoes/boots that actually do things!
When you are writing a shoe blog it is next to impossible not to mention one of the oldest and greatest pair of shoes – the Converse All Star shoes, affectionately dubbed ‘Chuck Taylors’. These shoes are still some of the most popular shoes out there and with all the styles that are still coming out in the years to come, it is no wonder that our children’s children can enjoy this awesome shoe! Converse All Stars, while not the best shoe for the winter months seeing as it is made entirely out of fabric, is the ideal shoe for all the other months when there is no water on the ground!
The hard rubber sole is next to impossible to break and yes, you can even machine wash these beautiful shoes (believe me, I have done it plenty times) without them breaking! The Converse All Star shoe is one of the greatest shoes around and people are still so obsessed with them that stores can not keep them in stock for anything! So go ahead, buy your pair of Chuck Taylors online, splurge a little bit and get the leather ones so you can wear them all year round, we won’t tell and it will be well worth it – trust us!
What I meant to write was this shoe is extremely colorful! Seriously! When I looked this beauty up, all I saw was color after color and honestly, that is not normal for a shoe company to come out with rainbow shoes. I mean honestly, who do they think will really wear those – well, besides me of course, but that is besides the point! One reason you should buy the newest addition to the Nike family is that they are pretty freaking cool and seriously, they are so comfortable, I honestly believe I could sleep in them.
Look at ‘em! I mean, they look great, feel great and are all around fantastic in every single way, so why wouldn’t you buy them? Well, one reason may be that they do come in rainbow colors, but really … you do not have to buy the rainbow Nike Air Dunk, you can buy the plaid one, or just the plain old solid one, it is your choice, but if you want to get yourself noticed – the rainbow one will do that to you.
Oh! Just for your knowledge as well – these things are flying off of the shelves, so this holiday season if you are looking to get a pair – get it fast so you won’t miss out. The Nike Air Dunks are some of the hottest shoes of the fall season and will probably continue to be hot throughout the year.
I just have to say this … OUCH! If I was the person that was walking in these shoes all day, I would die – seriously! These shoes, while very stylish do not look at all comfortable and I am sure that the model that is showing them off is secretly cringing and dying little by little inside. Although these types of shoes have not reached the United States just yet, they are all the craze in Japan!
Now, can we talk for a moment about Japanese fashion? Buddy, believe you me, they are beautiful over there! After watching American’s Next Top Model and seeing all the fashion crazes in Tokyo, I can only imagine what the rest of the country is like! But, their fashion is a bit out there and just like these shoes, they will probably make their way over to the states.
Since the Japanese are the trend setters of the world, you will probably see all sorts of New Yorkers strutting around on their toes and secretly dying inside because of it. Just remember, you do have a choice! You do not have to kill yourself for fashion – although, you will look stylin’ in your coffin! I’m kidding! These shoes are fantastic, but do not wear them for long periods of time if you value your toes.
