Oxford shoes come in many different patterns, colors, and material. They all consist of the same lace-up (canvas) construction, wingtip,  and are usually leatherette material. They also have a slight heel to them, but nothing too dramatic. Many come in just one solid color, such as black or brown. But their are also many that come in beautiful patterns, such as floral, striped, and sparkly colored! These are usually more on the higher side because they are more of a fashion statement.

If you don’t want just a solid color, but also don’t want something too drastic and out of your comfort-zone, try oxfords that are still a solid color but feature beautiful detailing. Perforated leatherette designs can be found on many oxfords, and definitely catch people’s attention without going too far.

These are great for the upcoming fall season because they are a full lace up shoe, and will go great with a pair of skinny jeans. They also look beautiful when featured with dresses or skirts. If you are not a fan of sandals and open-toed shoes, oxfords are definitely a better option for you and will add a very classic and feminine touch to your look. What’s great about oxfords is that they can be sported with men fashion as well. Simple black ones are usually whats popular among men oxfords.

All right – let’s take a look at this particular pair of lace-up sandals.  This is a pair of Azzedine Alaia originals and to be honest, they are pretty cool looking up in the picture, however, Carine Roitfield really needs to lay off of wearing them.  She has a pair of these particular shoes and to be honest, she has worn them out completely!

She has worn these particular shoes to all sorts of different events and while it is refreshing to see a model for Vogue Paris wear something more than once, these shoes should not be the thing that she wears twice … or once really.  I think that this particular pair of shoes just looks … weird.

The heel is too small, the fact that they are completely lace up is weird, the lace itself is strange and the back is even weirder.  So Carine – lay off of these shoes, they do not look good!
