So while there may not be one single shoe that is the absolute best of 2008, there are a few note-worthy shoes that have made it onto the charts. For instance, high heels – in any form, any designer, anything have been flying off the shelves for the entire year of ’08 and there have been record sales in many different shoe warehouses for Crocs.
So I am not sure how many of you saw the Sex in the City movie, but I did – four times actually and I have no idea how I missed these beauties, but I did and honestly? I’m sad that I did not notice them in the movie itself. Apparently, Carrie rocked them when she and Big were together in the very beginning of the movie! Anyway, these are the Christian Dior Black Extreme Pumps and while they may be expensive, they still look very awesome.
One of the most popular yet forgotten boot is the fringe boot, also called a moccasin! These boots are absolutely fabulous in all different types of weather, especially the fall weather. The great thing about these boots is you can purchase them with or without a heel and keep it casual or frill it up a bit. As you can see in the picture above, these are the all-frilled-out fringe boots that look great paired with jeans all the way up to your favorite LBD (little black dress)!
It is pretty obvious that in the fall season we all have to ditch our sandals and open-toed shoes and trade them in for closed-toe shoes and boots … well, there is a good thing about wearing boots, it is the fur! Christian Dior has come out with one of the greatest fur-lined wedge boots of the season and I have to say that it is absolutely the most comfortable and fashion-forward item in my closet!
Think about it, what is one of the hottest items on the market when the snow flurries are blowing around? Fur coats! Well, now you can match your fur coat to your fur-lined boot and be fashionable yet matching! It is a win-win situation for all parties involved. Also, you know what they say don’t you?
Once you go fur – you never go back and I swear that it is true! I have never looked at another boot that is not fur-lined since I purchased these to-die-for Christian Dior boots. So please, I am begging you – try these boots once (or even ones like them) and then comment and let me know what you think! I promise … you will not be disappointed and if you are?
