Keeping right along with the Nike shoes for the Olympics, this beauty came out for the 2008 Olympics as well.  When it comes to coming up with new ideas and new technology for the Olympics, it is extremely important that the technology not only words, but that it looks fantastic.  Well, Nike actually came up with a shoe that is especially designed for Tae Kwon Do and not only does it look great, but it actually has a point.

In order for an athlete in Tae Kwon Do to gain a point, the four judges need to recognize a strike.  Well, with all the excitement at the Olympics, it is easy for a judge to get distracted and miss a strike.  Nike thought on this and there is one way to ensure that the judges don’t miss anything at all; kick your opponent so hard the judge hears it.  This is exactly what concept the new TKV boot was created for.

Nike went through many different leathers before finding the right one and the loudest one and once they found it, they incorporated it into the TKV and well – now Tae Kwon Do users are getting a real kick out of it!
